Description of 🚣 ADVANCED ELEMENTS UltraliteLite 4-Piece Aluminum/Nylon Kayak Paddle - 88 inch (224cm) Assembled - 23.6 inch (60cm) Packed - 23.5 ounces, Black, (AE5005)

The flat, symmetrical blade is made of polypropylene while the shaft is made of aluminum alloy. Incredibly Portable - The Ultralite Pack paddle has two Shaft pieces and two blade pieces and breaks down easily in order to make stowing and transportation easier. Dimensions - 224 cm 88" assembled length, 60 cm 23.6" broken down. Lightweight - Less fatigue and physical exertion required to operate this 1.5-lb 23.6 oz kayak paddle. Minimalist - Use only one middle section with the paddle blades for an extra-light minimalist paddle. Perfect for backpacking and situations where a 2 piece paddle is not practical. Sport type: cycling.

Really light and compact

Sorry for my English, I'm Russian. The paddles are really very light and compact as they come in four pieces that are 24.5 inches long and can then be disassembled. Length when assembled 88 inches. I pack them in a 45L backpack and use them with a Pakraft Klymit Lite small boat. The price was reasonable (ordered in February). The craftsmanship is high.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No power

Light sport paddle

I bought this paddle with my Klymit LWD to make backpacks. The paddle is light, strong and does its job well. I was very surprised at how light it is - more expensive paddles don't save much weight. It folds up easily and fits nicely on the side of my backpack. It's very well made and doesn't feel flimsy or problematic.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great 4 piece ultra light paddle for hiking and rafting UL

I love this 4 piece light weight paddle for my 36oz Klymit Litewater inflatable. Works great and attaches to the side mesh mount of my backpack. Not sure if it's too small to paddle my inflatable two person kayak because one day we just couldn't handle the wind and current. Otherwise it's perfect.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Little things

Costs $45; FYI, small blade

The paddle is perfect for the price. The blade is smaller than expected but works great. I used it with my Alpacka Pack Raft. The blades are plastic, easy to break into 4 parts. I bought it so I don't have to worry about the carbon breaking when I travel. I've used it on class I and II rivers. I wish the paddle was bigger but it works. worth $45

  • This is amazing

Fits in hand luggage

I bought this mainly for air travel as I already have a paddle that breaks in half to fit in a car trunk. No frills but fully functional and looks like something I could get lots of use out of. It seems a little pricey just for the design and materials, but I can't say I've found anything cheaper anywhere else, and usually selling accessories is the main source of profit, so I can't really blame AE for that . If you are looking for a cheap 4 piece paddle you probably won't find anything cheaper

Pros
  • Lots of fun
Cons
  • Minor problems

Smooth, need tape.

I bought this with my Advanced Elememts kayak. I wanted a lightweight paddle for travel. That's easy. The paddle is smaller than a regular paddle, which is what I expected from other reviews. The length is good. The reason I gave it 4.75 stars is because the shaft diameter is smaller than I expected and it's smooth. I used it for the first time yesterday and woke up with so much pain in my wrists. I use kayaking gloves and it helped a little but not enough. Because the grip is tight and…

Very light and useful, ideal for light packaging

Update: I am amazed and very happy with the purchase. They are very light and offer enough paddling power in light winds and upstream and can take a little abuse! Just be very careful not to drop them on hard surfaces unassembled, as the tubes can bend, making assembly difficult or impossible. still understandable. It was my fault for not paying attention and removing them from the mesh pouch provided. First review: I really like the color and appearance. I have no idea if it will work as I am…
