Buy this before you buy the K&N filter

Fits my air intake which required a 2.75" filter. The filter is large but has less pleats than my K&N which means less surface area. The filter does a great job and it's nice that I don't have to worry about applying too much or too little. The filter also looks very good. Probably the last filter I need for my car life.

Pros
  • . It is in order!
Cons
  • Something else

Excellent replacement, color may be white instead of red

Product fits perfectly. The product I received was a white cone filter instead of the red one pictured. It came with a letter explaining that AEM made a gray and white filter instead of a red one. Whether this is real or not, I'm not sure. However, I bought it to replace my old filter and pass emissions tests, it did the job.

Pros
  • Excellent construction

I bought an excellent filter for my 2007 Audi A3 2

is a great filter I bought for my 2007 Audi A3 2.0t FSI. It is actually made by K&N in case anyone is unsure. I ordered this to replace my oiled K&N that came with my neuspeed p flow intake kit as it has seen better days and was told that a dry type filter is better for cars with MAF so I figured it is now time to have it replaced. it was perfect for the Pipeline 2.75! The delivery was quick and the price was right!

Pros
  • . Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great option for an "oil free " filter.

I used the oil filters that come with my Neuspeed intake. I had two MAF sensors that started reporting low airflow data and I replaced them with new OEs because cleaning the MAF sensor didn't help the sensors report back. I have switched to these AEMs and the mass flight reports are always consistent now. The air mass no longer drops from 40 to 60 g/s, and that with a clean filter (not over-oiled). To clean the AEM DryFlow filter I use K&N Synthetic Filter Cleaner.

Pros
  • Cool Stuff
Cons
  • New Competitors

AEM should be ashamed of their quality control

When I buy a premium product, I expect it to be ready. Inside the filter, several large pieces of loose silicone were hanging from the filter element. Luckily I shone a flashlight inside before installing it. It doesn't have to be something you get with a premium product. I had to spend a good thirty minutes prying loose bits of silicone off the inside of the filter. I'm glad these parts didn't end up in my turbocharger. Check your AEM quality control!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Almost never

I replaced my fouled standard cone filter with this AEM DryFlow unit and my gas mileage has increased by 2mpg since the last fill up. Obviously this was due to the fact that my filter needed replacing rather than a direct result of the product, but seriously. Change the intake filter, comrades. Why I Chose This One: I've bought cheap cone filters in the past and they seem flimsy. The AEM filter really gives the impression of quality and doesn't look like it will fall apart or wrinkle like a $15

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some issues
