Aerolatte 20-Ounce 5-Cup French Press Coffee Maker Review

Does what it's supposed to do BUT it's thin. Said to be boron glass, but it doesn't seem to have the strength of boron glass. Good for storing liquids without affecting the taste, large in size and easy to clean. Fragile.

Unfortunately the thin metal frame does not fit snugly around the glass to hold it securely when pouring. It can easily bend and loosen, then a glass filled with hot coffee may fall out when pouring. Dangerous design flaw. Even the beaker is not transparent, a bit cloudy, despite repeated washing.

This product has been my daily French Press for the past 2 years. The plastic part on my piston broke recently so that's something to consider. It's the perfect size for a cup of coffee, I don't know where the word "3 cups" came from (unless the shot is a cup). I looked for a replacement piston but couldn't find anything. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

Bought as a replacement as the original carafe broke. This fits perfectly, but with *every time you pour*, at least part of the coffee doesn't get into the cup, but instead runs down the wall of the new carafe. Sometimes spills have stronger currents. This may be user error, although I've tried to troubleshoot this issue with no success. upset :(

A French press is a French press, the mechanics are almost always the same and will most likely give the same taste. However, there are minor differences that make this press look cheap. First, the decanter is only supported by three metal brackets with a hole on the pouring side. This creates the feeling that the carafe could just fall out as the metal clips are quite thin and flexible. In general everything is fine. That's it, everything works.
