I've used them every month or two according to directions but the lather still collects in a reservoir under the drum which bounces onto clothes , and every time I wash my clothes, the car smelled like sewage. I was able to skip two fresh tabs in a row and it didn't affect the smell in any way. I ended up trying CLR (limescale and rust remover) per the directions for half a cup and it actually got rid of the smell completely.
