It worked very well for me on cement board

I was very concerned about how I would cut out would this shower mixer valve when trying to cut a Hardiebacker record. I came across this drill and it worked so well! What. Great investment just for this project! speed, then slowly lower the drill bit to the surface until it kicks up dust and begins to make a groove in the cement board. Once the groove is made, it cuts easily in less than 10 seconds! If you try to make contact with the drill at low speed the drill will go everywhere and wobble…

This will get the job done!

I bought 100mm and 130mm bits because I didn't know which one worked best. I did the stupid thing and punched my tiles with a hole for the protruding part of the valve but there wasn't enough room for the whole assembly so it didn't line up when I tried to put the handle back on and it doesn't fit. Pros
  • Always use lubricant (water), otherwise the diamond core drill will burn through. Start drilling diagonally
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Skeptical. but it worked perfectly! Saved us a lot of money.

After 10 years our second bathroom needed a replacement shower cartridge. We thought it would be an easy do-it-yourself project but ran into problems at every step. We even had to hire a plumber just to help us pull the threaded bushing out because it wouldn't move AT ALL. Then he informs us that he can't finish the job either because the dork who installed the shower covered the screws with tiles to get the cartridge out! He said his tile specialist could charge over $300 for tile cutting…

Pros
  • Can be used with a standard power drill (except this item)
Cons
  • Doubtful
