Reboots Networking Products

This device keeps rebooting. stays active for about a minute and then restarts. Double checked I'm not pulling the contacts up/down which I shouldn't, tried even the simplest blinking routines. same problem. Get real Lolin Wemos D1 and check if this version is bad. will be updated if the issue persists with boards from other manufacturers. UPDATE: The Lolin Wemos d1 Pro Mini board worked for a long time without any problems. In the time it took me to get this unit, I did some more…

Great all in one boards for esp12

This will fix all ESP module firmware issues. Worth the extra cost compared to buying a bare esp12. I had no problems programming with the Arduino IDE and everything works as expected. It's as compact as an all-in-one system can't get. I used large esp12 dev boards for everything but they are about twice the size. These are now my favorite boards.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • May damage

Breaks before it works

I use them to control LED lights, the ones that come in Aideepen branded boxes are crap. The LEDs don't even light up for more than 1/2 second before something burns out on the board. No, that's not my code, and I don't connect them to the boards in the same way. I have many WEMOS D1 Mini Pro boards running the same code and wired the same way. Especially these boards are crap. Don't buy them.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • No insurance

Overheated. Fried. Burned out. Oops

Put a little sample code on the board that will send the Wi-Fi signal strength back to Home Assistant so I can check the signal strength at the board's location. It sewed normally. Moved in. It started, ran for a few seconds, gave a reading and died. I touched the board and WOW! she was hot Very very hot. I screamed, jerking my hand away and quickly knocked it out. Powered by USB phone adapter (iPhone, 5V). It's deserted and I'm afraid to plug in a second one.

Sweeteet.: Network Transceiver

The only problem is that you have to do a little digging to get it working. The connection requires a special driver and requires a reboot! In my case twice since installation. uses the same COM port as my modem. That being said I wish I had seen them before, it would have saved a lot of time dealing with different screens etc. Uploaded the NeoPixel sketch and again no problem. I noticed that it starts to boil when plugged into external power and a USB connection. Update: This can happen if…
