Bought in May, installed in June, the battery was dead in September. Great at work. But I don't need an hour meter for 4 months. I also love how they said it's a lifetime battery but the description says the battery is good for 2 years. 2 years isn't good either, but I have 4 months. No thank you.

The only downsides are that the battery isn't replaceable (it's fully sealed) and the numbers are a bit small. But it was very easy to install and very accurate to the running time of my Makita compressor. I installed it on top of the junction box which seems to vibrate more than the rest of the compressor. Money well spent!

So far so good. The clock seems to be running fine. A little difficult to mount on the plastic cover due to the two screw holes and uneven back. I also want the shutdown wire to be a switch or jumper so I can turn it off if I'm hand moving or working on the mower. Otherwise it's a good investment and I keep my maintenance on schedule.

Better than I expected this is a well built unit and easy to install with double sided tape which is not included. I installed this unit on my new Champion 3400 dual fuel alternator (see picture). The device works in both high speed and ECO (low speed) modes. I used masking tape first to make sure it worked. I will install 2 screws (included) later if needed. Recording in 6-minute increments, suitable for long periods of vibration. As far as I can tell it takes 6 minutes of continuous vibration to increase. A portion of the six minutes remaining after the vibration stops is not added to the total. If, like us, you have a machine that experiences short periods of vibration or stops vibrating for a moment, this product can rarely if ever add time.

The wireless vibration hour meter is wireless and easy to install. It's wireless because it doesn't need to be wired to the spark plug wire. It is accurate enough to be used to calculate maintenance intervals in generator running hours. Mounts to a plastic surface on top of the inverter generator using the two screws provided. RTV or a removable plastic-to-plastic adhesive can be used as an alternative installation. I will buy it again.

This is a good hour meter if only installing it on a device that doesn't move. When buying anything that needs to be transported: motorcycles, portable generators, small engines. Of course, the timer works during transport. There is no switch, so you have to record the hours before and after the ride and subtract them from the actual time. Lots of unnecessary math where a simple switch can be activated while driving to pause the timer.
