Great item at a great price

I wasn't sure I even needed this part and really didn't want to spend more than $80 for a guess. So I took the risk of buying this much cheaper sensor. I installed it a few days ago and so far my car is still running great. The part was packaged very well and is identical to the part I removed from the car. All the screw holes matched and the connector fits the wiring harness snugly.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Works worse than the original MOPAR part.

The experience is the same as the previous review. Everything looked fine and the setup was solid, but on start up my XJ had a rough idle and was worse than before and immediately gave out the CPS code. Did a reset to get back into learning mode and still no change. Turn on the original MOPAR CPS, restart it and now it works better. Unfortunately, this part didn't fit me and I'm going back. I would suggest sticking with the MOPAR part for this topic.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Speed

Works as described, plug and play, been in use for 5 months, no problems.

I've read on the jeep forums that a lot of people are recommending only mopar sensors including this one. I bought one in February for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee and have used it perfectly for the last 5 years. Months. So I just bought another one for another Jeep Cherokee project I have and have a feeling it should work great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I still suggest buying the Mopar brand if you have the cash to blast it. but at 4x the price I personally couldn't…

Don't waste your time or money

2000 Cherokee Sport 4.0L Inline 6 It was an experiment that failed miserably. . (The 10-day limit applied to damage in transit). At this point I had already sanded and filed the connector body to fit the mating connector. When I finally installed it, the engine started and ran but made a weird squeaking noise. I was driving about 2 miles at 50mph when the engine started jerking and then died. Luckily it started again after a short break, so I drove home. The scanner showed an intermittent CKP…

Part does not meet factory specs

The crankshaft position sensor had the same resistance readings as the faulty sensor we were trying to replace. Likewise, we had issues with the poorly running engine and stalling on insertion. I ended up buying an OEM crankshaft position sensor at a local parts store for a lot more money but you could tell the quality was completely different. The connector on the stock block snapped easily to the engine wiring harness and the internal magnet on the stock block is much stronger than this…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Not all will fit
