2004 Silverado with dual climate controls

Worked great on my 2004 Silverado with split climate controls. Took about 20 minutes to install and about 5-10 minutes to calibrate the controls. My driver's side was either hot or cold. Sometimes it got too hot and didn't cool down again until the truck was restarted. That solved the problem at a great price.

    Fits my 05 Silverado

This fits my 05 Silverado easily and didn't take long to install. It was a drive directly below the manual controls for air conditioning and heating, but below it, like an ashtray. On my truck, the driver's side air vents started to heat up after a few minutes of running with the A/C on cold. This part solved the problem and is now working correctly. This drive is a 5 pin connector. There was a process of removing and replacing the fuse to calibrate the part. Works great and has a lifetime…

Installed in my 2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV. My problem was that the side vent on the driver's side constantly blows hot air no matter how I toggle the controls. This is actually in stalls under the center consul at the front of the dashboard. The dealer charged over $600 to fix that $300 just for the part. 30 minutes passed, the biggest headache was loosening the screws under the instrument panel cover. I hope this video helps someone else as it solved my problem.

This worked for me. on engine cooling and air conditioning

That solved my problem. Now my driver's side is hot again. The drive on the driver's side is located on the passenger side at the bottom of the bar. The blender door did not close. Installed new actuator, everything works. Plastic part to turn the faucet door, but $100 less than my local auto parts store I don't care. It works! 2003 Chevrolet Suburban LT 1500 with dual climate control. .note.my system didn't work right away. I had to recalibrate the temperature controls. I have uploaded the…

    air door actuator fixes problem

The actuator itself is a good product and easy to install. Since our Yukon has a console, this had to be pushed to the back, which takes a bit of time but is very easy. You have to unscrew the seats if you have a console and pivot them to pull the console back. The drive is mounted in an awkward position over the tunnel, but this is a GM design. Again it was easy. - calibrate the system, but it's just a matter of pulling the fuse and turning the machine off and on a few times.

This piece worked absolutely perfectly for a mixed 'mode' door.

This part was absolutely perfect for the 'fashion' door on my Chevy truck. Before the swap, I couldn't switch between thawing and legs and face. After installation it worked perfectly. MUCH cheaper than OEM parts. The replacement is a little tricky given the limited space, but certainly doable for the average handyman. There are videos on YouTube showing how to do it. The part must be calibrated after installation. Just turn the key on and off twice (on will not start) and wait. The actuators…

Switch to OEM and save yourself a headache

The OEM actuator uses a potentiometer to adjust position. Over time, the contacts wear out and the device is constantly "chasing” endpoints. Dorman solved the problem by using a photocell to determine the position of the actuator. Seems like a great idea, but unfortunately they designed it so that the photocell doesn't sit on the final driven gear, but on the gear that drives the final driven gear. This creates a problem because there is no guarantee as to what position the actuator is actually

Good customer service. Poor quality item.

I had the recirculation actuator replaced and this part worked great for a week. Then it burned out and stopped working. I emailed the seller and he confirmed that I ordered the correct part for my 2004 Silverado. They quickly sent out a new batch. Installed a new one yesterday and it worked great again but this time it only lasted a few hours. The part has a lifetime warranty and the customer service is good, but I would not recommend this part. There's a reason it's over half the OEM price. I

Can be a daunting task depending on vehicle type, but WORKS!

We bought this air door operator - BECAUSE it says it replaces 89018365, 604-106, 52402588 - Fits Chevrolet, Chevy, GMC - Silverado 1994-2012. Well we have a 2004 GMC 2500 and decided to test it out. Because our 04 GMC truck blew hot on one driver's side and cold on the other, and sometimes both sides, it was too hot in the summer and nobody objected to the warm air in the winter. We took it to a so called reputable local AC mechanic who said he couldn't find the problem. But then we were…
