AIRHEAD General Purpose Youth Yellow Review

This was awful for my child who complained of tiredness after an hour in the lake. Something happens so I pull it out of the water and then I see the bottom HALF of this vest is filled with water. I understand that nothing is completely waterproof if a small amount gets in, but this was absolutely ridiculous.

Just tried it on my son who is 8 years old and weighs 65 pounds. The life jacket says it is suitable for children weighing 50 to 90 pounds. It's SUPER tight on him and won't fit him much longer. I'm keeping it because I need it for this weekend, but I wouldn't recommend it as it doesn't fit. We will most likely use it once and then give it away as it is designed for a much smaller child.

I was very concerned when I ordered this because some reviews said it runs small or fits a little oddly. Unfortunately I had to take a risk as this was the only PFD I could find that would arrive on time for our needs. It is perfect for my 9 year old 65lb and my 7 year old 55lb. There's not a lot of room for a 9-year-old to grow, but there's still quite a lot. I will get at least one more season from him if not more. It fits like the other PFDs we have borrowed.
