A good stick, but no different than most.

A good stick, but not particularly different from others. I haven't tested it, but as I said, the external filter performs better than the built-in internal filter I think. I have a decent antenna, but again, the antenna makes a big difference. For a general comparison I have a Nooelec v1 bar and with the included antenna it performs slightly better than this.

At least doubled my ADS-B range

Love it. I had a NESDR Nano 2 on my roof with a regular ADS-B antenna. This increased my maximum coverage in some directions from 60 to 150 miles. Previously I set up my setup using NESDR Nono2, RTL1090 software, Virtual Radar Server software and Plane Finder Feeder client on my PC. I replaced the NESDR Nano 2 with a green FlightStick, stopped and restarted the RTL1090 and in less than 20 seconds I was up and running.

  • Very good value for money

Poor performance of the radio scanners

I bought this stick to replace the RTL-SDR dongle. I thought the built in filter would perform better but it doesn't. Using it with a Pi Zero W with PiAware has reduced the number of observed flights significantly (from 1800 per day to around 200). Maybe I have a bad block or something as it heats up too. The RTL-SDR also gets hot, but at least it has a metal housing that acts as a heat sink. You can see in the attached image when I've used the AirNav FlightStick versus the RTL-SDR dongle and…

Just as good as the FlightAware Pro Stick at half the price!

I've been using the FlightAware Pro Stick on my two RPi ADS-B feeders for almost two years with great results, but when I saw this for $10 I decided to give it a try. First, it was an easy replacement, nothing else was needed in my existing setup. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the number of positions tracked performed as well or even slightly better. I will be monitoring the data closely over the next few days but the initial results have been so promising that I have ordered another…

didn't work, not even on a brand new computer

I used to be a Radarbox customer - I'm on my second Commstation - something happened to the first one and it doesn't work anymore and since last year I've had problems with the second and got no support. I decided I would take this to see how it works. I first tried it on an old computer and on the Radbox site it showed working but didn't catch anything. The software didn't record anything at all and didn't even indicate that it was connected. The new computer has the same problem. There was no
