New in this type of gas cooker

Beautiful gas cooker. The tripod legs will not work on a slatted picnic table. It must be installed on a flat service. Easily ignited with an igniter and boils water in 4 minutes. It works more than many other ovens. It folds up and fits into a 5.5 inch storage pot. The storage box is too big to fit in the pan.

Easy to use. Great heat. However, no propane gas adapter is included!

Honest review here. It's lightweight and retains enough heat for cooking and more. The shape of the burner is great and allows the flame to spread out in a wide pattern that can easily cover a small to medium pot. The base and bottom of the pan were found to be wide and strong. I found the ignition part to work well and have no problems. All in all I highly recommend it. It's also quite compact.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Legs won't snap when pulled out, pops on low heat

It's not a small pocket stove but it fits large pots and pans, I use it as a second stove in my car. ground camping. I knew from the photo listing and description that it didn't come with a 1lb propane tank adapter so I ordered one. SOME THINGS I DIDN'T CARE1). The legs have no locking pawl when extended. So when you lift them to move them, they fold in and you need to make sure all three are in the correct position before you put them down. 2). It bursts on low flames, so the flame needs to be

Simple, light and generates lots of heat

I used white gas stoves for decades before finally trying the gas stove. What a mistake I waited so long to try the canister cooker. I've been put off by reports that canister stoves aren't great for hiking because they don't handle the altitude well. And that they were terrible in the cold. These myths were actually true decades ago, before new fuel blends were developed to address these issues. So. Since trying my first canister stove a few years ago, I've probably amassed about a dozenโ€ฆ
