Poor workmanship of the clips

I bought this because I thought the thumbscrew feature would be handy. I think so, but there are some disappointments. Some plastic handles were placed askew. The threads on the worm are coarse. The cuts in the strip are coarse. I greased them all to get at least a little smoothness. Such careless processing is unforgivable. Don't buy them unless you really need thumbscrews.

Very important! Easier to use than clamps that require a screwdriver.

A lot of clips for a good price. There was no bad grip. Used about a dozen with a vacuum pump and rubber and polyethylene tubing over 1/4" and 3/8" barbed brass fittings. Nobody broke. No vacuum leak. Don't fiddle with a screwdriver. WHEN TIGHTENING, HOLD THE PLASTIC HANDLE CLOSER TO THE METAL BAND AND NOT the outer end of the handle wings. This should help prevent the handles from breaking.

Watch out, do-it-yourselfers!

I bought these clamps for a home brew application. I'm glad I did. I was tired of using a screwdriver to tighten or adjust the worm screw clamps I used back then. The plastic fenders on those little clips solved the problem. I don't know how much force or pressure these clamps can take before breaking, but I can tell you they work great for 3/8". tubing and up to about two inches of application. I would not recommend them for car needs. I bought this set of clips not just one size to…
