Useless Instructions

Let me start by saying that I've been doing origami for 30 years and all sorts of other arts for a lot longer. The instructions for this product are completely useless. I think I can figure it out based on my experience, but I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner.

Pros
  • Contains step-by-step instructions
Cons
  • Some mistakes

Great learning set

Great little set. The instructions are good - simple and clear. We made simple kimonos with sleeves. It took us beginners about 45 minutes (mom watched me with a fifth grader and a third grader). Second time with my 3 year old lasted 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this set for adding to our Japanese and Asian courses for its simplicity, ease and great learning outcomes.

Pros
  • Made in Japan
Cons
  • Something different

Cute dolls but without

Very cute dolls. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Very nice box and when you open it you have a pack of doll paper/hair and black and white folded instructions. I was expecting a nice little full color instruction booklet (for future reference). The box is definitely overpriced compared to the actual content. I think I paid more for the box than the contents. The amount of paper you need to make these dolls is definitely not worth what you are paying for this set. I can buy 20 or 25…

Pros
  • Holds up to eight paper dolls
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
