I bought these because my dog eats all my remotes so I didn't want to pay a lot for a replacement. As it turns out, I like them better than the ones that came with my TVs. I've often been annoyed with the 'smart' remote control that came with my LG TV. It took a lot of energy and time to get the 'smart' thing (red pointer) to work and I often got confused trying to use the directional wheel to select before the 'smart' thing was also ready . Looks the same as the remote that came with the TV but doesn't work. The original worked great, pointing it in every direction as if you were in front of a TV. This distant angel appears to be much smaller and has to aim straight at the TV from less than 10 feet away, or sometimes I have to press the same button again and adjust its orientation as if the batteries are low or dead.
