🔘 Akebono-EUR1061 Brake Pads Review

Excellent pads. I bought this for the front of my 2006 BMW 325XI and it fits perfectly. So far they're working quite well, with no noise or dust, making the drives look cleaner. And it arrived the next day, although Revane said it would take a week.

Squeaking at low speed *** Update 05/30/18. Less than two months and 500 miles later, the car pulls to the right when braking. I replaced the front brakes again to make sure these pads are the problem before writing this review. Buy a quality brake set for your car

Wow those pads are great, I didn't have any imagination problems like other people did with my 06 330i. I tend to have a very heavy brake foot and my old pads loosen the clamp and vibrate like a paint shaker but no such issues with the Akebonos. Too bad they haven't made rotors yet. I bought them because Scotty Kilmer admires them and I think he's right. Don't agree with him that BMWs are "endless money pits".

Your satisfaction depends on the application. This setup is for the E88 BMW 128 where the stock pads offer excellent braking but are possibly the dirtiest and dustiest original pads I have ever encountered. They can be much cleaner, but result in a soft pedal feel even after successful bleeds. Excellent pads. They have good stopping power and generate almost no dust. The only criticism is that the initial bite isn't as "sporty" as the original BMW pads, but after getting used to them I find them even better. The standard pads can be a bit grippy at first and are very smooth and progressive. Compared to standard pads, there is almost no dust. They were only installed a few weeks ago on my 2007 BMW 328i sedan (E90) but so far I like them. The car drives every day, the brakes work well. A bonus is the huge reduction in brake dust compared to OEM pads which I think is a huge plus. Please note these pads are for a 2007 328i built before August 2007.
