Great microphone Microphone

I love the AKG P220 so much I bought a second one. My voice sounds great on the P220, the peak of presence is in just the right place. I use this mic for both voice acting and my ham radio station. It works well in both applications; I've received many unsolicited reports of "great sound" from fellow radio amateurs. Very solid construction, I expect many years of service. This microphone is incredible value for money! I also have an AKG C214 and an AKG P170. The C214 might be better for…

Great sound quality for the price

I wanted to refresh my rather modest microphone collection and decided to get a real condenser microphone. I was torn between this and the AKG P120 as a replacement for my old Behringer C1. I had a $25 gift card and found a used P220 so the price was almost the same as buying a new P120 so I agreed and am very glad I did. I did a quick comparison by turning on my bass box mic. first with Behringer C1, then with P220 and finally with my Shure Beta57, why not?! Immediately noticeable was the bass

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No paint required

home recording? Grab this mic and have fun.

I've tried many vocal mics and this is my favorite. Seriously, if you're recording at home, don't spend a fortune on a mic, your songs aren't going to sell any better. You need phantom power for this mic, and if you don't know what that is, put off buying a mic until you know more. You can also just buy an SM57, put a pop filter on it and sing along. SM7 (NPR mic, it takes A LOT of POWER to sound good, so don't buy it unless you have a powerful preamp. Back to the P220, you'll love it. Don't…

Exaggerated, uneven high-mid to high-frequency response

I've read some good reviews of the P220 mic and only found a few bad ones after ordering (of course). Complaints included uneven, harsh response from the upper mids to the high frequencies, as well as excessive background noise. I have to agree I had a hard time processing this with a 3 section parametric EQ and looking at some independent response graphs I can see why: a few resonant spikes, more than what the factory graphs showed. For newcomers, it's difficult to round off more peaks than…

THE BEST MIC FOR RECORDING! (Records and even YOUTUBE!)

As a home musician, this mic definitely met my needs. I have had an AKG Perception 120 (old model) for a long time and have never had a problem with this mic. The main reason I bought the P220 was so I could change the settings to have one mic for vocal recording (P220) and another mic for YouTube video recording (Perception 120). The Shock Mount for the P220 is used for the Perception 120 and is perfect for the microphone. Both mics are basically the same size, so I figured that would work…

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

Worth more than your money. I recommend it, definitely. IMPORTANT. if you are writing in a room, then do not complain about the sound, because the microphone reveals itself in sterile conditions. I also learned that many people don’t even know how to record a signal: advice - turn the gain knob to a minimum, monitor and amplify the signal already in the sequencer using limiters, maximizers and compressors. Then the sound is crystal clear, without the noise of the equipment and the room.

Pros
  • The microphone exceeded all expectations: the tests were carried out in a deaf soundproof cabin. The sound at the output is full-fledged - no frequencies are muffled and no frequencies stick out. There is no “nasal” and no “squeaky”, the sound is warm, enveloping, lively, there is no “compression”. We were surprised that a minimum of post-processing was needed in comparison with Octave and Nedi. Also, the sound, for all its fullness and depth, is glassy and open, not booming. Works in conjunction with e-mu 0404. I can't even imagine how well he will show himself with advanced cards.
Cons
  • There are no disadvantages.

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

One-way, be careful. For recording two or three speakers, recording conferences or interviews with one microphone, it is better to look at the 420th model. P220 for novice voice actors and those who write - top for their money. I ordered it from for 9900 with a promotional code, it arrived home, I noticed that it was shipped to Muztorg :) it is interesting that on the day of the order in the Muztorg itself the microphone cost 1.5-2 expensive

Pros
  • Best for voice acting at home or streaming! Price / quality - the best ratio. The kit is good, with a case for storing a microphone, you can safely prove that your sound is of the highest quality and let them only try to object. There is a mount and a web that dampens vibrations + there is an adapter for a stand with a slightly smaller screw diameter.
Cons
  • I didn’t reveal any shortcomings in sound quality, it doesn’t catch any extra noise, but here’s a NOTE: Requires phantom power (it is better to cling through a mixer or an external sound card with FP) No XLR included No pop filter included (buy separately) In the kit (obviously) there are no Chinese table mounts on a spring like the bm-800 and at least some kind of stand, do not be stingy and please a good microphone with a reliable stand (more than 1) or a decent table mount (at least with ebay)
