🎒 AKONA Dive Gear Roller Duffel Bag Review

Arrived on time, looks well made, packs better than my other dive bag and fits all my scuba gear enough to fit clothes. Let's see how well it survives on my upcoming trip to Kauai in Baggage Monkeys. 4/7 - Managed the trip well, survived the RT on Kauai and was loaded with 1 set of scuba gear, 1 set of snorkels and clothing for the week and under the 50lb (48lb) limit. Everything is fine, good bag!

Holds a full set of scuba gear, almost two, and some extra clothing. Because the square corners have hard edges at the bottom and in the area of the handles, the material in these areas is wiped off completely more quickly than in other manufacturers. We've made three trips to the Caribbean with this bag and it's showing significantly more wear and tear in problem areas. Bought on sale this might be good value for money but probably won't buy again.

The bag is shorter than I wanted but fits all my gear and WEIGHT 49 lbs, IT'S LEGAL! Seems durable, but air travel does strange things with luggage. Strong cross straps. Big wheels which I hope have solved the problem of breaking a wheel or axle at 50lbs like my High Sierra bags did. Biggest complaint about the interchangeable wheels and axles. I got this bag specifically for the size as I will be using my tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag etc for air travel for camping - I am not talking about minimalist camping gear and my stuff is suitable for spares for my hammock, cushions and some clothes - the only disappointment was having to return and change the order as it came with damaged packaging and was also missing the bottom foot pad - it is very well made with thick canvas material and large sturdy wheels - I particularly appreciate…

Bought two for my wife and I for an upcoming cruise and they have loads of room. I can get a full gear in one with extra space for other items. I don't know if you get two sets of gear like some claim, but they probably use BC and fins. We are not. We have standard size devices. I can't afford to have the usual gear and camping gear. Pros: It is actually light and very roomy. I started very impressed and would have been perfectly happy if it had held up. Cons: It only took one flight to rip the bag in two places, so the description of "durable fabric" is incorrect. The DIPNDIVE seller contacted Akona when I reported this and asked the company if any fixes were covered under warranty. It turns out that both DIPNDIVE and Akona blame the airline and say the problem was due to mishandling. I don't agree with that at all because

Simple bag holds a ton, is very light and very strong. It's a minimal bag, but that makes it lightweight. No brand to say "Hey steal me!" Used it for scuba gear on a 3 week trip to the Solomon Islands. Survived excellently. Highly recommended. I will probably buy another one. To update. Trip 2 and this is my route to bagging.
