Good, not so good Alcohol ink paper

This paper works almost exactly like Yupo, but a lot cheaper. However, like Yupo, it absorbs some colors, most notably blue. But works well and could be bought again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Great End Results

The paper is very thick, the ink slides across the page. Not absorbent, but necessary when using ink. Versatile use of markers or liquid ink. I get the same results as with Yupo paper. Worth the price. I am addicted

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Heat Distortion - Art Supplies

Lots of worksheets to practice techniques and test ink properties. It is slightly porous, allowing some inks to bleed and not rise. It also warps in the heat. It's best to use handheld fans and gentle heat tools on low, low settings.

Pros
  • Complete
Cons
  • Some Issues

May be more suitable for drawing, painting and art supplies

The paper itself is very suitable if you are planning paper crafts or using other mediums. As for the ink, I found it absorbed too much/too quickly and I couldn't get any movement out of the ink no matter what method I tried. Would buy it again for other purposes.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Suitable

Great subwoofer for Yupo Paper

To explain my 1 star - you DO NOT WANT this paper to be absorbent or transparent! Stupid traits to ask about. It's mostly cheap Yupo paper and works great with alcohol inks. Not as smooth as a real Yupo, but smooth enough. Would definitely buy again. A+ product.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear

I'm new to Alcohol Ink

I'm not sure if the Alcohol Ink Paper rating system is correct. Ask about absorbency. I thought you didn't want the paper to be absorbent. The paper doesn't absorb - that's why I gave it a 5? It's the same with Sheerness. The paper is opaque, so is clear or opaque paper a good thing for this application?

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Very disappointed

I am so sorry that this is nothing more than cheap photo paper and not artist quality paper. It's nothing like yupo and alcohol ink or watercolor doesn't pick up with ease or movement rather the medium clings to it and doesn't even mix with alcohol ink mixing solution. It should be advertised as photographic paper, which it is.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will write later
