Does not repair leather bags.

I bought this hoping it would help glue a broken strap back onto my leather Dooney and Bourke handbag. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I did everything right and even clamped for 24 hours and then just squeaked. So if you want to repair your leather bag, do not buy this product.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great job with leather shoes!

I made a 1 inch cut in expensive leather shoes and thought they were damaged beyond repair. I gently applied this glue to the joint with a thin applicator, keeping the skin covered. Well, if you weren't looking for the gap, you wouldn't even notice it. Very faint line. worth your money.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Available in white only

It worked well until my moccasins got wet

Not waterproof and not suitable for shoes. I bought this to repair my leather moccasins as it is said to be good for shoe repair. It worked fine until I wet my moccasins, didn't even stand in the water just got wet, at which point it failed completely. Glue that cannot get wet is not suitable for shoe repairs.

Pros
  • Sample for a year
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

The best glue for the skin.

I do a lot of handicrafts and use a lot of glue. This glue is available at any store nearby, although the price is a bit higher than if I were to buy from a local store. But I end up paying a lot less if I buy it from Revain. And it's convenient. Just place an order and I'll have it in a few days.* This is one of the best leather glue I can find. Especially suede.* Sticks fast.* Becomes transparent after drying.* Easy to apply.* Safe to touch* Virtually odorless

Pros
  • Art glue and pastes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Poor adhesion leaving an ugly whitish layer of glue

If you have a slight rub on your leather sofa like mine this product will not help seal the back tear due to very poor adhesion. Worse, this product doesn't dry out and leaves a layer of whitish glue or something on the skin that makes the stain look dirty and very visible. Very dissatisfied with this product after using it. Then I looked back to Revain for a better alternative. Fiebing's Leathercraft Cement is the answer, the reviewers of this product are right!

Pros
  • Kraft paper
Cons
  • Can't remember

It does not work well.

This glue works well for gluing leather but not what the reviews recommend. I bought this glue to stick my patches on my biker vest. By the way, that's not possible. This glue secures the patch but does not keep it on the skin. In fact, the adhesive peels off both the skin and the back of the patch. It doesn't matter if the skin is smooth or not. I did a test run on perfectly smooth leather and the patch came off easily, as did the glue from the leather and patch. I decided to use it anyway to…
