👕 Enhance Fabric Structure with Aleene's 15588 Fabric Stiffener & Draping Liquid - 8 Ounce Review

I think it will be a good product. I've never used a fabric stiffener before. It is very thick and difficult to soak. Thought with a little water I'll update the post after using it fully.

I used this for a large brimmed hat I finished crocheting a few days ago. I mixed this with some water to dilute it enough that I can apply it to the surface of the hat with a small brush. I had it installed within 24 hours and it worked really well. I need to apply a second coat to the brim, not the entire hat. If my hat was made from mercerized yarn, I would only apply this solution to the wrong side as it will take away from the yarn's sheen.

This is my first time using stiffeners, although I've used Aleene Tacky Glue in the past to stiffen crocheted snowflakes I wanted to try something different since my tattooed snowflakes are beaded and it seemed like the sticky blue always left a little film. It smells and looks like white glue, but there is something very different about this product.
