Used and repackaged, cardboard in shreds

I read the bad reviews but unfortunately didn't listen. While this is a really nice product, it arrived damaged (obviously from previous use!) and with such a torn box and weird stickers that I couldn't imagine it being the piece of art it was meant to be. after sitting down and asking myself "can I really give this as a gift" I decided that unfortunately I can't.

Pros
  • Bar and wine tool
Cons
  • Not the best

The beak is too blunt and rounded and does not stick to the coaster.

I don't know if we're married or what. We had one of these in teal for years and it started showing signs of wear after about 5 years. So we ordered this and it stinks. The spout is too blunt and round and won't catch on the beer cap or the top of the wine bottle when you're trying to pop the cork. Very annoying. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • house and kitchen
Cons
  • empty

The colors are more muted than in the photo.

I was not as satisfied with this product as others for two reasons: 1. The colors of the parrot were not as bright as in the photo. True colors are duller.2. The mechanical design of the corkscrew itself is very simple. A more functional design is the Le Creuset Screwpull (#WT-110), which has a ratchet-like mechanism that makes cork removal much easier. My parrot has already flown out of the chicken coop on ebay.

Pros
  • Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets
Cons
  • Nothing

I love this corkscrew!

Functional, ergonomic and well thought-out design. Works perfectly. There is a loop/connection not found on traditional sommelier style corkscrews. The connection allows you to maintain an optimal angle when uncorking and reduces the likelihood of cork breakage. It's solidly built from good materials (but the box it comes in looks cheap). This product is very expensive and not worth the money if you are looking for something that removes cork. But for a free piece, it's just cool.

Pros
  • Browse the entire A di Alessi range of household items to find similar and unusual items.
Cons
  • No power

Excellent professional wine key

As a lifelong wine professional, I've tried most corkscrews, from budget to high end, and keep coming back to them. One of the best I've tried: ergonomic, quick and relatively easy to work with tricky/old corks. It's pretty cute too. However, for professional use I prefer matte colors as speckled colors tend to feel sticky with overuse. However, I do not recommend this for opening beer bottles. A special beer key is always suitable for this. I've never experienced the build issues that other…

Pros
  • 5 inches long, easy to find in any drawer
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
