I just got a new replacement filter and I wasn't happy. If you watch their video about installing the filter and draining the water about 2-3 times before use, it is because the filter has been stored in alcohol, etc., so you need to drain it. First, I don't smell alcohol on either the filter or the silver because it's just a type of water. And they say that the first flush will last about 8 hours. So instead of 8 hours to flush a full 2 gallons, my filter takes about an hour. Yes, cool, right.

I was able to contact Alexapure about clogged filters and following their maintenance instructions, which didn't work for me, they simply replaced the filters. I'm glad the new filters are working fine, but I expect them to run slower after a few gallons of water.
