I just bought and installed two of these stops. They look great and are durable. They also have very strong magnets. I bought them to keep the interior doors from slamming in the wind. They're definitely doing their job. You can easily use longer screws of any type and color as they are covered with stoppers. You never see screws. If you want weaker magnets, buy something else. They are so durable with a beautiful brass color and super strong magnets. I order two more.

This product came with no instructions and according to most other reviews this is the standard variant - a very poor choice for MFG. I'm very hands-on and have installed ceiling fans, outlets, light switches, etc. I see other reviewers saying this product is easy to install. I totally understand how it's done, but the larger unit has a back plate that needs to be removed to insert screws to screw it to the wall or floor. There's no way of knowing how to do it. First impression: excellent doorstop, very nice. The piece has a considerable weight and looks chic. The magnet is strong, maybe even too strong. It moves the door about 4.125 inches when installed on the baseboard, which is more than I wanted, but there is no choice in the length of the magnetic door latches. They last a lifetime.
