A little pricey but has an extra bushing

The AMS crankguard works like any other crankguard from SRAM, Race Face etc except these "extensions" are included in the AMS kit which can be installed, to protect the part of the grip where the shoe normally sits. These extensions fit my Shimano crankset perfectly, so yes, although the price is double the others, you get 4 guards instead of 2.

Not fully compatible with X01 carbon cranks

I love AMS products. I have several of their products on my bike. However, not everything from this set was compatible with my X01 carbon grip, despite being listed as compatible. This shows that the end caps were my biggest issue and they fit great. Just disappointed as I needed my protection when the end caps offered by SRAM and didn't offer this (for my setup). Still, I kept them and fell in love with the brand's minimal and recyclable packaging.

Protects the connecting rod parts and components

Quick Tips: Heat the boots with a blow dryer or hair dryer just enough to make them flexible. Also grease the inside so they slide easily. I originally looked for turquoise boots and the only ones I found were RF but they are too wide for my xtr9120 cranks. I went for the red ones, they took the hit well but still hold up. Since they are two-piece depending on the shoe, you benefit greatly from these protectors as they sit higher than the one-piece.

Looks good but not durable

Bought these for my mountain bike. I mounted them on Shimano SLX cranks. The part that sticks out past the end of the crank was a little loose, but overall it fit well. Appearance was good and it matched my orange Fox fork very well. They were a big splash of color. The problem with these boots is that they are made of soft plastic. They're pretty much wrecked after about 10 rides. I ride very technical and rocky trails but the Raceface boots have lasted a little longer than these. The ends are

Fits road bike crankset

After hearing from the manufacturer that the product would fit my Dura Ace 9000 crankset, I ordered it. After warming up, the boots can be easily slipped onto the cranks and the holes in the pedal axle connected. In this issue I noticed that the boots sit a little wider on the inside of the arm, so in the lowest 3 gears the boot touches the chain 2 times per pedal stroke. Of course, this isn't an issue with the 1x drivetrain or non-drive side, but you get friction with tighter road/CX/gravel…
