The instructions that came with the product did not work as stated. After digging around the internet I found two ways to get it working. They removed the entire grille and front body molding without having to do it on a new truck. Another option is to drill out the gold plastic insert and then see the clips on the outside of the grille. I used double sided tape to secure it as I couldn't get to the back of the grill.

Superb quality product. Made of metal with good powder coating. This item replaces the entire stock badge, so you will need to remove the grille to install it. At first I was going to send it back because I didn't want to take the grille apart, but after seeing how nice it looks completely blacked out without the chrome frame I decided to go for it. Anyone with a basic knowledge of mechanics can handle it. I actually prefer this factory Chevy for a fraction of the cost.

Installation is great but the paint on the bow tie is rubbish. The cutting lines on the metal are sharp and need to be sanded. If you want to sand down crappy paint, sand down sharp edges and powder coat your butterfly, then this product is for you. I've made all the preparations to powder this butterfly. I had no intention of making this concoction when I first bought it, but the quality of the packaging changed my mind. So if you want to customize this item I recommend you buy it for the fit…
