LED lamps are an improvement over standard lamps. They are much brighter than incandescent bulbs. I was having a tough time installing a light on a 2007 Toyota Highlander hatchback. The ends of the bulbs are cone-shaped. The original ends of the lamps were tapered at an angle of about 60 or 75 degrees to the horizontal (like the point of an arrow). The ends of LED bulbs are flatter and taper at an angle of about 30 degrees. The lamp did not capture the LED bulb well.

The light is excellent, very bright. Some wrote they were afraid that they were too bright. I agree. The truck is perfect. Very helpful to have. In a small case it can be too bright. I definitely recommend them. I'm not a fan of 6000k in general, but it's kind of a new standard. The only drawback was the installation. Two of the four were difficult to install. Not sure why. I have installed them on both my 2001 Subaru Legacy (dome, domes and reading lights) and my 2004 Toyota Corolla (Dodder). They are incredibly bright and illuminate everything very well. The only downside is that the fit isn't perfect as there aren't any sharp ends to hold them in place and they are slightly longer (1mm I think) than standard bulbs. After living with a dim, warm factory bulb for 21 years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. So pleased with the result I couldn't wait to leave a review. Can't comment on the quality yet, but they appear to be well made with a solid heatsink on the back. Unlike the all-glass dome of a factory lamp, they only have a light distribution of 180 degrees. This LED bulb replaces the 2013 Hyundai Accent GLS trunk light. The light is much brighter and whiter. The last thing you want to do in the dark is fight for your gear. These bulbs are sold as replacements for the interior map lights; I haven't decided yet if I need/want that much extra light in my car at night. These - 31mm version - will NOT fit 2018 Subaru Forester map lights, although the AMAZON install selection says they do. I love how bright they are and I'm really impressed with how they look. If this was the end of the story I would give five starts. But unfortunately they make a loud hum/buzz when you close the doors and they dim. Not a big deal as putting the key in the ignition turns off the light and stops the noise and what's the difference if it makes noise when I get out of the car and can't hear it. I bought it to illuminate the interior of my cars. It's really very bright and very white. In some applications it can be too bright for me. When it's in my line of sight, it blinds me. So, on a car where it's for the sunroof, the light is on the side. Because it's on my periphery, it's harder for me to see the cargo hold. I have to block the light to see better. Same problem with map highlighting. I don't blame the lightbulb for what it's supposed to do. I'm just pointing out that I don't want
