Bought to cut thread for machine embroidery. That's the only thing I use them for. They'll be obsolete in less than a week.

Good shears for the money. My old ones were in disarray and needed not only beating up but sharpening. For less sharpening costs I was able to get these great new shears.

These scissors are good for cutting yarn and other threads. They could be sharper but they get the job done. The "Gold Plated" feature actually means nothing other than trying to make them prettier, because the scrolling should work more clearly. These are good scissors for the price.

DO NOT buy these scissors. They came in a sealed package but the finish was matte. The blades were covered in black grease and wouldn't come off when I tried to clean them. If you are looking for a pair of vintage style scissors that look worn and worn then this is it. I am extremely disappointed. I embroider and quilt and these scissors look like my old worn out vintage scissors. Don't even send it in for a refund or exchange.

Bought these scissors to trim thread for cross stitch. I wasn't really worried about how they looked or if they would last forever. I am very happy with the sharpness of the blades and have no problems threading them. My fingers fit well in the holes. While there are other scissors with nicer and more accurate decorative designs, I personally think that's fine for the price. Again, I bought mine to cut cross stitch threads and just for that purpose. They are perfect for my needs.
