🐊 Gator Slicer Review

Nothing bigger than a tennis ball cuts. We tried Vadail onions, large tomatoes and regular size peppers. If the item you need to cut is longer than 3 ½ inches, you will be disappointed. I can't believe I spent my money on this.

Bought this for my colleagues who I manage at a local Italian restaurant. My boss didn't seem as keen on it as I thought (although he's a CLIP) but the housewives/salad girls initially liked it because it really saved time cutting tomatoes when we were busy, now that I've got one Used for a while and a little abuse of slicing (people didn't care to slice straight down), it doesn't work quite as well.

This is my second alligator. I love the ones that make little cubes - work great every time. On the other hand, the slicer is a waste of money. I didn't believe the reviews but after 10 minutes trying to chop up a piece of onion it all went in the trash. It actually broke - I couldn't even cut half of a small onion. And for cutting eggs, there are cheaper and better options. Take a knife and save money.

I am a big fan of alligator dice and was dying to try this food slicer but I wasn't quite convinced. First, it's heavy and requires more parts to clean than its counterparts. Disassembling and reassembling for cleaning is a bit fiddly, and being a bit clumsy in the kitchen and always in a hurry, I'm not sure I can avoid nicks with these blades. On the sharp blades of the cube, it is almost impossible to cut yourself on the blades of the cube due to the small mesh size and easy rinsing. This…
