Small copper for soldering

I should have read the description more closely. There are only four at this price. I probably wouldn't have paid for this if I had opened my eyes and read it properly. Although the product is ok. all 4

Excellent heatsinks for soldering

They worked great for soldering heatsinks. They will not corrode wire insulation like serrated terminals. The tips are soft and often need adjusting, but that's to be expected with pure copper.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • weak

suitable for salt water

I bought these clips to use on my bilge pump. I mainly fish in saltwater and these clips are solid brass. They don't rust. They stay attached to the battery until I release them. I am very happy with them.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Negative gift

Reliable, useful little devices

I recommend these little clamps to anyone who needs to attach wires in an electronics test bench project. They are durable and have a good grip. I also use them as heat shields for soldering leads to transistors, diodes and other sensor elements.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Was damaged

Just right for the low resistance meter

I needed this for the HR390 low resistance meter which I use to measure the resistance of elements down to 100 ohms (down to milliohms). I crimped and soldered them to 9" long 18 AWG fine stranded silicone wires. Some red and black heat shrink tubing keeps the grip non-slip.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Clarity

Copper clips are better

These clips are very well designed. The most common alligator clips on the market are made of nickel-plated steel. But steel is not nearly as good an electrical conductor as copper or aluminum. The steel clips also get hot with prolonged use. These clips fit 10 gauge automotive braided wire as specified. I used a propane torch to solder them to the wire. They also have a small retainer at the end of the wire rod to hold the soldered wire in place.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Came as described, matches the solder

One of the clips had a burr or something in the spring mechanism and didn't open very well. Instead of contacting the seller or taking my time, I tried to fix it quickly and almost destroyed it. Remember this is soft copper so you must be gentle with it. The seller took care of me in every case, which I appreciate. Otherwise these clips were fine. They are small and the small crimps are too small but look at the product and the price and it is from China. I can handle it and I ended up crimping

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
