    Cheap but works! suitable for testing, measuring and checking

    Yes. The plastic cover slides back immediately. Some people don't like it. My 3rd grade didn't care and made awesome circuits with these wires. And when people complain that they are "too difficult to open" or "slippery". 3rd CLASS PEOPLE. And they had no trouble working with it. I will buy more.

    They hold up pretty well, especially if I cut something short and they start.

    I used them in one of my college classes, they hold up pretty well, especially when I short something out and they get hot. I blew up a few due to poor wiring and I was impressed that they blew up quickly and safely, saving me from having to fry expensive classroom equipment.

    More than I need: test, measure and verify

    The product did what I wanted, but the vinyl clip covers made it difficult to squeeze the clips together (they slipped over the clip so fingers and thumbs were covered ). pressing from the side, not from above and below). They generally worked, but I usually had to slide back the vinyl covers to open the clamps slightly. There were a lot of cables and clips in the kit that I will probably never need.

    Just what I needed to fix my old wires

    These double ended alligator wires are just what I needed. I have lots of old wires used for various electronics and pacemakers that either don't carry current or don't have good terminals. So when I saw 30 in this set I thought I could fix them and bring those wires back to life. .I hate buying things when I can fix them so this works great now. I also love the color that matches my old wires.

    Very very too slippery

    The jumpers work as advertised but the silicone material used for the insulating terminal covers is too slippery for the size and strength of the springs in the terminals. You will repeatedly try to squeeze the clip to open it and it will rotate sideways between your fingers in the insanely slippery shell until you finally slide the boot completely out of the clip, fasten the clip and then put the cap back on. I usually like Elegoo products, but this one. not as much.

    Ouch! Slippery silicone pads!

    The alligator clips look pretty flimsy and cheap, but they do the job. The silicone grips on the clips are not only flimsy (which also makes them a bit sharp around the edges), but EXTREMELY smooth. to the point where I can't use them at all to open the alligator clip. Holding the clip in your hand and squeezing the guard gives you the added bonus of creating a short-range throwing weapon, as some of the crocodile skin clip will "splash" out of the silicone guard and your fingers.     You get what you pay for and that's cheap bullshit. Many negative reviews say the boots are slippery. I wasn't sure what it actually meant until I used it. What happens is that the boots surrounding the clamps are made out of cheap uncured vinyl. This gives them a thin layer of petroleum lubricant. When you squeeze the cleats, they slide out of the shoe, or the cleat slides into the shoe. Replacing them is a chore, but more importantly, when trying to secure a fragile electronic part you risk…
