Glad I tried it on a nut or i.

should have read reviews that are true the profile of this tap is wrong could not get this tap to screw into the new nut forward (start of cutting end) or drive end. ok i tried it on a walnut otherwise i would have messed up my work.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • No Instructions

The pilot drill must be the correct size

Taps of very good quality. It's designed for tap holes, but I've successfully used it as a starter tap, starting the process on a drill press to keep it perpendicular to the hole. Overall very happy with the threading and performance. The price was fair and the quality excellent.

Pros
  • Bumpers, struts and suspension
Cons
  • Some imperfections

A good fitting for the money and the occasion.

Turn this tap backwards and something will happen in the holes. It cuts thin strands of steel, aluminum and very hard ice or plastic. After that you need to use an LHT bolt as this tap only cuts LHT. Here's a real single tasker, but he does it with such determination.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Minor Repairability

Money well spent on hardware and mounts

Used these to replace damaged threads in my child's bike cranks after a pedal came loose in an accident. Worked well for this purpose and was cheaper than replacing connecting rods. The quality probably doesn't match the more expensive faucets, but I don't have a machine shop. You probably too.

Pros
  • Hardware and mounts
Cons
  • Socket required
