Although it looked like the perfect tool it arrived broken so I'll never know. For some reason the little switch that toggles the jaws from expansion to compression of the locking ring never worked properly. However, the selection of tips in different sizes and angles was quite impressive.

I like their different sized square or straight tips. Replacing the tip is very easy. I first bought a set of fixed tip size snap ring pliers but none fit me. Then I found this and it solved my problem. Great tool.

Got this as a replacement for my old one that required you to pull out the pins and swap things out to change the inlet/outlet. At first I couldn't figure out how to toggle, it's a little tight at first, but a light press of the button makes it easy to toggle between modes. If I sprayed some lube in, I think it would be easier to switch. The pins on the end worked great for releasing the stubborn outer clip. Very strong and strong.

Some tools you may want to just tap the store before buying as I think I have a weird duck that isn't as good as the others. The switch to toggle between inner and outer retaining ring is so tucked in that it doesn't want to switch modes easily. I've petted another brand that looks the same in store and it's changed slightly and I was tempted to return it for one that worked a little bit better but I can't fool myself into thinking that I really have to change them that often. These locking rings will not open. I bought these for a project with a couple of locking rings to deal with. With no load, they work perfectly, as soon as you press the locking ring, they close again. I wish I had checked them when they arrived, I would have returned them straight away. I would 100% test them as soon as I received them. thumbs down here.
