Works as it should in the suspension

Works well. I'm not a mechanic so comments about how cheaply it was made don't bother me. It's there when I need to replace fork seals on motorcycles. Much better than the piece of PVC pipe I used.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Great tool.: Trailer

Good bond with each other. I used a piece of Velcro so the two halves would not separate. Perfectly driven 6 different fillings. Has nothing broken or damaged. Have used many seal drivers and this one is very well designed. If you are interested in seals this is a must see. Use OEM seals! I've always had trouble with aftermarket seals.

Make sure your specific size is included.

I now have three motorcycles and live in a very dusty environment. Paying someone else to restore my forks is prohibitively expensive. This kit gives me the options I need to work with any of my bikes. If I was doing this all day, every day, I'd buy higher quality ones, but I'm definitely a shade tree mechanic.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Difficult to say

As a home mechanic who repairs his own dirt bikes, I love this kit for occasional use. If I were a professional mechanic and did a lot of suspension work, this kit would drive me nuts. Red inserts always fall out of the outer black steel cases making it very impractical to use. They work well and the case is affordable, but only for casual use.

The plastic is soft and forgiving and can be used on many bikes

The plastic has worn down a bit with use and I had to remove it from the fork but I'd rather it happen than screw up the fork metal on my outer fork lol. Also, the plastic jumpsuit should be gentle on anything cool. Just make sure to keep that thing straight. The many size options are also a big plus. The price is great too. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Quality construction

Good suspension product

I have installed these seals without a driver kit and it is not impossible or even very difficult. However, using a screwdriver for the gasket made the job faster and ensured quality installation of the gasket. The hammer consists of two parts and is of good quality. Bearing taps are made of tough nylon or plastic and are great for not damaging the seals. The kit included many sizes so I can use them on my Harleys, Yamaha and Honda. I would definitely buy another one if I needed one.

Pros
  • Great for me

  • thin

Good value for money

I bought this set because it cost a little more than buying a one size gasket screwdriver and it was the size I needed. I've only used it once, but from my first impressions it's a good kit for a do-it-yourself mechanic. The plastic inserts mate well with the metal tool and mate well with the fork tube. Plastic inserts also withstand impacts well. I didn't notice any wear after the first use. Someone mentioned that they are a bit flimsy when used and I have to agree a bit. However, once I got a

Ease of use and versatility

I've been doing a little work on vintage bikes and need a tool for different sized fork seals as I never know what's going to hit the shop. The first job I used them for was a modern day Honda VTX1800 and the kit worked exactly as expected. I would imagine that using a zip tie around the drivetrain/holder (which also holds the two halves together) on the forks would make things a bit easier, but aside from the compression seals, it's probably not necessary. If I were a high volume mechanic I…

PowerSports 13 years old, not recommended, photos attached

13 years professionally active in power sports. Good value for money, that's why I bought it. First, the inserts are plastic and do not cover the entire surface of the inner tube (see photo). I overlooked that, but the insert is not long enough, when screwing in the sleeve it rests against the outer tube of the fork (see photo). Essentially, you have to drive the bushing halfway in, then use the gasket to push the bushing in AND SEAL the rest of the way, which can damage the gasket. This…
