I don't know why this product got such a high rating. The spring arm will only work with a new paper towel roll. After you use 25% of the roll, the hand will stop supporting the hand to help tear off the towels. Also, the base isn't weighted, which means the holder will fall off when you tear off paper towel sheets. I generously give the product 2 stars.

I have a vertical paper towel holder at home that is unweighted and has no spring tension arm and I find it much more difficult to use. I bought this for the lake house and it's so much better! It stays on the counter while the towels come off the roll. and in fact it only takes one hand to tear them apart. Its elegant design looks great in any interior and I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this to replace a holder I've had for almost 20 years. I had high expectations as my old one was very heavy and pulled the towel perfectly with one hand for a very long time. pretty good. "Plus: Looks good, easy assembly. It works great with full rolls of paper towels. Disadvantages - too light weight, when the roll is more than half done, two hands are required. Buy another one after a week of use.

This is a simple table top mount paper towel holder. The design is average, the assembly quite easy. All you need is a screwdriver. As mentioned in other reviews, the spring-loaded arm provides no tension if you're given less than a half-roll of standard paper towels. I was a little hesitant because other reviewers said you can't tear off 1 sheet when the roll is smaller. We have replaced 3 large rolls of paper towels (we buy large rolls) since I bought these.
