Fit and material are really good. This is not a heavy jacket; However, if it doesn't fit, the design flaw makes this jacket very difficult to put on and take off. It's not very practical.

Got the small size for my 13lb mini poodle and it was amazing. I've had it through 3 snowy winters and it's still in great shape. This was a great help in keeping my dog warm when he's frolicking in the snow as big as he is.

This well tailored dog coat is warm for my 8 lb Chihuahua XS mix, perfect. For those who have difficulty getting in, I suggest leaving the neck with velcro on both sides and simply pulling it over the head, then fastening the belly and then pulling the longest strap under you. Takes a little more time, but it's worth it!

Got this coat for my 62lb raccoon greyhound. It is very well made and looks very beautiful; However, I can't keep this thing on my dog and when it's on it slides sideways. It will jump up from the front in a few minutes. It only has Velcro on the joints, but most are made that way. If he had a few snaps, he would be a goalkeeper despite the pain he has to inflict. The dog hates this coat and I'm disappointed. Guess I'll try some safety pins or just go back to his old tattered sweater.

This review is not about the product but about the quality it came to us. I ordered a new jacket through Revain and received a used, dirty jacket with dog hair all over the jacket. I love that it's waterproof and the fleece inside is warm. The velcro broke after only 1 winter of use and detached from my cocker spaniel. The fact that the chest and front "leg holes" are fairly open allows the snow to get trapped and the pup turns into a disgusting snowman. While the material is great against the cold, the velcro closure at the neck is problematic, as is the fit in general. Cold air, snow and rain get in easily as it doesn't fit snugly around the neck and tail opening, causing it to "float". The end of the tail doesn't fit my pup like I would like. I tried the medium but it was too small and the large is more like a tu-tu as the velcro under the belly is larger in the front than the back so the tail of the coat doesn't shape for the wearer.
