    All round excellent for my rating.

    These are great shoes. They seem to be holding up well to the rough wear and tear. Also I don't have any problems with the insoles like in other reviews. Everything seems great.

    Shoes don't suit the typical boy

    My son is 9/size 6 and after the first day of regular school with a break he came home and they looked very worn. I can't recommend it because of its durability. Yes they are comfortable and he loves the fit.

    Worth the money for me

    They fit my daughter perfectly. By far the most comfortable shoes. She is 8 years old and uses them for running, hiking and playing on the sidewalk.

    Continuous; comfortable

    My 8 year old likes slightly wider foot shoes. They have survived almost 10 months of daily wear perfectly. He loves her. It has an insert that can be removed to allow for growth, allowing him to wear them longer than we ever anticipated. We are now buying another pair as it has grown a bit. The previous pair are still free of rips, loose stitching etc. Worth the dollar.

    We love Lone Peak kids! We found out about Altra through our cross country coach and now we're hooked. Our kids have walked countless miles and played with it for hundreds of hours and they love it. The wider insole makes them comfortable but also more stable. The outsole seems to wear out a bit quickly (other parents have mentioned this) but the kids are struggling with the shoes. Even shoelaces are good because they have bulges to keep them tied.     Falling apart after wearing it twice.

    1 shoe is badly worn after 2 wears and looks terrible for new school shoes. Contacted Altra who said it was normal wear and tear and they weren't doing anything.

    Great sneakers in my review

    This is my son's third pair, they are very comfortable and hold up well to the abuse he puts them through. The insole is very thin, and if the shoes get wet, it will fall out while wearing. I put the insoles on before letting him wear the shoes and he had no problems.

    I love this shoe for hiking and cycling

    I love these shoes!

    I love, love, love these shoes. While they are more expensive than what I usually pay for children's shoes, they are worth the extra money in my opinion. The grip with this shoe is incredible. They are also very flexible and feel like clouds on your feet (I bought the adult version for myself). Whether you're looking for good trail running shoes or just good running shoes for your kids, you won't be disappointed!

    These are my son's favorite shoes.

    My son is 11 years old and has narrower feet for his age, but he has a high instep and slightly wider feet than normal shoes allow. He loves his Altras. We bought him a pair of Kokiri 4 months ago and now we bought him a pair of Lone Peaks. While they're both very comfortable, he finds his Lone Peak pair better. The soles are much more grippy, giving you a better grip on the soccer field or anywhere else. He removed the upper insole and found that the shoe was much more comfortable without it…
