Horrible Casting Viscosity for Arts and Crafts

This product is nothing like the description. It's almost impossible to use, thick and gloppy. The only positive aspect may be the transparency, but even then, it's not worth the hassle. Don't waste your time or money on this terrible product.

Pros
  • Transparent
Cons
  • Difficult to use

RECOMMENDED FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY

This is at the top of the 2nd page of the instructions. I am a craftsman, not an industrial manufacturer. 2. Note on the "vacuum and/or pressureโ€ instructions, what can you say? I don't have a vacuum chamber, and if I did I would need a chamber with a three foot cavity. To be honest I did two samples, both had so many bubbles that they looked opaque. The only saving factor is that it's hardened and hasn't gotten sticky. You need to change the product description.

Pros
  • Highly Polished
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Appeared

Not as good as epoxy

I've been using epoxy for a few years and everyone says alumalite is much better for turning wood so I tried pine cones. The pinecones took 6 months to dry and I roasted them for 10 minutes before adding the resin (like I do with epoxy). You can see the results - muddy white stuff around the pinecones. It definitely mixes faster, easier and odorless, but the results after 4 hours in a pressure pot just sucks. I will glue it with epoxy. It's cheaper and handles clear.

Pros
  • 32 oz. Pure color
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
