They are so easy to pack and stack. The cardboard cover can be marked on the white side; the foil side insulates the food well. size just right. I got them when I wanted to give food to someone without having to worry about returning the dishes. For Thanksgiving, they were perfect for sharing leftovers among family members.

These are normal aluminum pots of a certain size. There are 50 in that order. They are great for food being prepared for events, relatives, etc., in addition to normal home use. They're great for meatloaf, some pasta dishes, etc. etc. There are two main reasons to order them: quantities not typically sold in grocery stores, and economic value if bought in bulk.

These pots cost next to nothing. It would be almost as good as aluminum foil folded in half. You can never put anything in it and hope you can move it without spilling anything. You need to put it on a cutting board or something sturdy. The top is just silver paper. I always clean my kitchen appliance before using it. These lids are not washable. So now I have to put a piece of foil between the container and the lid. It's really more trouble than they're worth.

Update: While these pans are still very flimsy I can say the customer service department has responded to this issue. I wish I could say these pans are great, but that would be an exaggeration. Customer service made it bearable. Hmm... what can I say? Very fragile... but if you put them together 3 or 4 they will be much stronger. For the price paid, the item in "dollar store" is the best choice.
