As the build quality

As the build quality. I didn't like the point of the razor sticking out so I made a leather sheath for it. All in all it works great.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Almost never

I get the best results with my old wooden tandy pull template.

The 7 oz saddle leather kept increasing and creating an uneven width. I get better results with the cheap old wooden Tandy gauge. This tool loosens when adjusted and wobbles. Save money and get a good size plow.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Update Availability

Well made but difficult to use.

I found I had to service the tool to make it work and use pliers to start the leather. On soft skin, it curls up instead of cutting straight. You need a way to keep the skin in the incision area flat. I'm not comfortable with an open blade.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • No Automatic

Buy a wooden tape cutter instead.

Although this piece looks cool and uses easy-to-reach blades, nothing is holding the strap you're cutting and the blade is fully open the whole time. Spend $20 on a wooden tape cutter, you'll be happier with the results and your fingers will still be attached. I still haven't figured out where to safely store this thing.

Pros
  • Leather strips, figures and trimmings
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I really like this strap.

I received this seat belt cutter well ahead of the expected delivery date. It came with extra blades, and it looks like you can use utility blades as well. I've already used this to cut about 60ft 12oz. Latigo leather. This seat belt cutter works much better than wood. And the handle is slightly off-center to the right. It is convenient to use. The only problem you might face is an exposed blade. Just keep an eye on where the blade is at all times.

Pros
  • Manufacturing
Cons
  • High price
