I use this type of bit for cutting precise grooves and grooves or cutting parts from templates of any shape, inlay work and some carving work. Amana beats are precise and have a long way to go. This part begins with the construction of the mahogany paneled entrance hall.
This bit will probably work great Unfortunately I need a bit that protrudes 3/4" below my router. This bit has a very short shank and when I collet it to the correct depth stuck, I can't get it to stick out 3/4."So I can't use it. I bought another knife that works for me - it has a longer blade and shaft.
Cuts well but the bearing on mine is slightly smaller than the blade diameter so it cuts deeper than (and sometimes into) my jig. This renders this cutter useless for the job I bought it for, which is cutting the template in 1/64" increments to match the template exactly. I may have bought the wrong tool for the task, but this tool still won't see much. use around my store.
