Only one nut keeps the wheel in place. Unless your old nut is corroded, replacing it with a new one will only take a few minutes.

I installed this on my pontoon as part of a major retrofit project. It's cool, and the chrome is decent. The grip is the best thing that has happened to pontoon driving since electric start.

perfect for my 2001 bayliner bowrider. Tip for removing the old steering wheel, spray some penetrating oil on the screw, wait a few minutes. and lightly tap the shaft with a hammer. The new bike looks good and is comfortable.

Installed hydraulic steering and found my old system was becoming so stiff that the steering wheel shaft was bent. So, with the improved steering system, we decided to replace the wheel. I liked the handle, it's comfortable to use with one hand.

Wow. It's not expensive and it looks and feels good. I have a run that I really need to indulge more. I haven't done much since I bought here. This is a great visual and tactile change. Can't predict how it will hold up, but first impressions are of a great product.

Not a bad steering wheel for the money. The handle is a bit stiff when turning. It would be nice to have more than one key path so the handle can be indexed in different positions. My boat has hydraulic steering and after bleeding the handle is centered at 6 o'clock. On some boats this may not be a problem, but on a compact center console it's kind of in the way.

Great steering wheel, especially for the price. The hardest part was getting the old wheel off my boat. Recommend using a gear or wheel puller, which can be rented inexpensively from an auto parts store. If your alter is really stuck, try the PB Blaster and use the hammer on the center screw. All in all it's great value for money and my boat looks better now.

Incredible value at $30. Replaced an ugly plastic wheel on my Boston Whaler. Doesn't matter! Set your expectations wisely and they will be exceeded. I've seen similar style wheels for $300. So if you're expecting $300 quality, you might be disappointed. However, the quality of this wheel is exceptional for the price. Looks great and feels great. Time will tell how it holds up, but it looks like it will hold up. I would definitely recommend this.

This is an amazing wheel for the price. I installed this on my 2007 pontoon boat and the console immediately looked newer and more stylish. It is solidly made and feels great in the hand when driving. I lubricated the suicide grip very well with silicone spray and it works great (maybe not as smooth as ball bearings, but perfectly adequate). The handle is a game changer for docking or standing. This is the biggest upgrade I have ever made to my boat. Definitely get this if you are looking for a
