I have to agree with the other review. Mine broke as well. The screws should have been much longer. Thank goodness my friend saw the boards fly away or I would have lost them too. It's a shame. The metal is well made, feels solid and looks great, but this mount sucks. Another thing is that the elastic cord is VERY long. I would wrap it around two boards and have to loop it around the post a few more times.

bought this for my 2.75" tube wakeboard tower and couldn't find the right combination of pads. I cut off some of the rubber to make little spacers to tighten it up, then the screws came off and I couldn't attach it at all, drilled holes in the clamp joint and cut them for the big screws and I managed to get my faith Don't think many people want to go through this problem to install the rack. There may be problems with other stances as well, but it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult…

Rubber seal for 2.5 inch pipe was too thick. I tried wrapping tape around the post as a spacer but I couldn't tighten it enough. The mount continued to rotate on the rod. I decided to push through a 5" screw, but the guy at Lowes talked me into a set screw. I used rubber from a bike tire as a spacer and put a set screw in the post. It was unstable and everything broke. The set screw and one of the original screws had snapped off. The screws should be longer. The rubber gasket should be thinner…
