Amazon Basics Chisel Carbon Hammer Review

Here in the house I am starting a big project - removing dried paint from solid wood doors in my very old house - before repainting them. I could take them to go diving but it's expensive and the doors don't fit in my small car. I've considered buying whole new doors but you can't find solid wood doors anymore and with wood prices having skyrocketed lately I wouldn't want someone else making them. My other putty knives have the usual plain end to give a smooth end product. This tool does both. I was surprised that it had a chiseled end, although this is clearly visible in the photo; I am not disappointed that this is the case. So on the smooth back you have a really precise edge which can even be described as slightly rounded giving you the edge you need for spreading material and yet the face of the chisel is ground to a taper giving you a very practical advantage. So this trowel is pretty much what you expect. It's strong, durable and after trying to abuse its "hammer grip" it held up better than I expected. Other than that, the hammer handle didn't rock my world or made it that I had fewer tools to work with, but hey, that was enough. It's a spatula and that's all I expected from it.
