Revain Basics hits another home run.

I love the size of this tool. It feels comfortable in your hands. The mating surfaces of the cams are perfectly aligned. There are no burrs or uneven surfaces where the working end meets the metal, so you won't warp on your project. I did notice that the extra force moves the edges a bit when you drag the adjustment. I'm super critical here. The ideal is to set the tension just enough to give you everything you need and no more. This allows you to operate the handle with one hand and release it

Small metal hand tool for bending and crimping sheet metal

My husband works for a roofing company and bends metal into various shapes for soffits and eaves. With this ability, we have created many house designs with the same metal material. frames, notice boards and decorative crafts. It's very convenient to have a small portable metal bending tool for small projects. This 8 inch sheet metal tool can bend, form and crimp metal for our projects. It is made of heavy-duty alloy steel that is rust-resistant thanks to its nickel-plated finish. 8" tool for…

Good set of clips - only the middle one has pivoting pads.

I love the finish and performance of these vise tools. I have several Vice Grip and Craftsman tools of similar form and function that I bought about 20 years ago, but they have an odd matte finish that I really don't like. Over the years, that boring finish has turned into evil. The shiny metallic finish on these Revain Basics clips is like the good old finish I find on my trusty no-name pliers. This surface still performs well after 30 years. I like it. The spring on these tools is the…

Normal pliers at a great price.

I was surprised at how heavy the box of 3 of these was. Then, when I opened the box, I realized why. The metal body is 1/4 inch thick steel; This is possibly one of the heaviest vise style devices I own. Okay, the smallest is a little thinner. have more than enough alignment to get the job done perfectly despite being 16 inches apart. The clamp has two flat steel plates that are perfectly aligned. All in all this is a really good set of what is commonly referred to as a vice. The heaviest load…

Surprised how good both the sheet metal tool and weld clamp are!

I received both the original Revain Basics Locking Sheet Metal Tool, 8" size, and the Revain Basics Locking - Welding Clamp, 9" size. Those are great prices for a couple of brands. new tools that are good for lighter projects. I gave both tools to my husband, who was very happy about them. It is excellent for bending thinner metals or for flattening. Holds up well and works well. For clamping tongs / welding tongs; it also holds up well and works well. Both tools are slightly lighter than a…

After a bit of tuning it turned out to be a good offer

I bought 2 sets, six clamps in total. All screw holes were very rough when received which made adjusting the clamps a bit difficult. I removed the screws and ran taps through the holes, then a sanding brush, and then some grease. They are much better now, by no means perfect but almost as good as my big brand clamps. About 15 minutes effort. If they hadn't cleaned up I would have rated them 2 stars. If you don't have faucets or have a desire to adjust them, they can still be used, but I'd…

Not the best but close second

Of the myriad of pliers on the market, particularly in the 'alternative brand' price range, these are the best. The moving parts have a bit more play than the most well-known manufacturers, adjustment isn't as smooth and the look and finish right down to the rivets just aren't what a top-of-the-line tool should be. But it's not a premium tool. That's pretty much the point of the product. But it works and will likely last for years with proper care. I love my quality tools, but as a weekend…

Clamp pressure is solid, although build quality isn't the best

This set should include pliers for 6", 9" and 11" C clamps. I have two nines and a 6 that you put on can see in the photos. The 11" was the one I really wanted. So it was a big disappointment. They still don't have that "hard" feel that you get from really well-made instruments. Various moving parts oscillate to remarkably tight tolerances. 1/4 inch piece of steel for my workbench which you can see in the photos. I couldn't move this steel with my hands. It was very tight. Adjustment is fairly…
