I love the finish and performance of these vise tools. I have several Vice Grip and Craftsman tools of similar form and function that I bought about 20 years ago, but they have an odd matte finish that I really don't like. Over the years, that boring finish has turned into evil. The shiny metallic finish on these Revain Basics clips is like the good old finish I find on my trusty no-name pliers. This surface still performs well after 30 years. I like it. The spring on these tools is the easiest, if not the gentlest, to activate. They're a bit clumsy and rough on the point, but they do their job well. Remember that only the middle set has rotating clamps. Big and small boys are ready to smash your surface.
