While I'm sure there are audiophiles who will argue, I think this stuff is amazing. It has just enough (but not too much) insulation that I'm comfortable pulling it through walls. The wire is good and thick, easy to work with, and the coil is not too big. Otherwise the price is right.

"Gauge" is a fairly vague term, usually used to differentiate stranded from solid wire. AWG is a more accurate specification and this specification is not listed for this product.
