This extension is well made and should last, but it doesn't do the job I bought it for! It doesn't charge my iPhone, although it does charge other USB devices just fine. I spent all day swapping out cables, adapter plugs, etc. experimenting to figure out why my phone wasn't charging, only to finally discover that this brand new cable just wasn't made for the iPhone. I thought it best to let you know. Use certified iPhone cables and adapters. They will say "made for the iPhone".

This cable should not work. According to the USB spec, I need a hub every 5m to avoid violating the propagation delay limit. But here I am with a 10 meter cable that easily runs my Schiit Modi (Audio DAC) from my Macbook to the other end of the room. I'm assuming there's a simple hub at the Rx end of the cable. The cable looks good too. It's relatively thin and flexible. I haven't run any tests to determine how good it is or how subpar the cable is, but for my application it works like a charm.

October 2020 update: 17 months later I have had no problems with this cable and its performance. The computer it's connected to works 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so the cable was in constant use the whole time. It worked brilliantly, flawlessly, with no noticeable lags.
