This product has a good price and nice design, but a few weeks after installation I noticed a white film on the surface of the filtered water. Has anyone else had this problem and is it safe to drink (probably not)?

We give it back. It installed correctly and we ran the water for over half an hour as instructed. The water leaves a very noticeable white ring and sediment on glasses and decanters. I don't understand why this is happening with filtered water and not our regular tap water. (We tested both just to be sure). Using a filter doesn't change the taste, but it inexplicably degrades the water.

The supplied plastic adapter worked for about a week and popped out immediately. Tried to use duct tape and reinstalled, didn't help. Instead of buying a new one, I'll buy another brand with better features. Also, this filter can hold 30,000 gallons or whatever, but it makes the water taste like crap. It's like drinking distilled water or something. After drinking it, I feel very thirsty. The return of this piece.

I like simplicity. Adjusting the taste of water is very easy (live in Philadelphia). The water pipe is long enough so you don't have to worry. It's big enough to fill a gallon jug (photo attached). I received the item and attached it to my faucet. A black liquid came out first. (I would have thought that primarily water-related appliances are flushed and cleaned before they hit the market. On the one hand, the filter is easy to assemble and works well. We first ran water to clean it and used it for a couple of weeks.
