🐱 Optimized Amazon Basics Cat Tree with Cave and Scratching Posts Review

This is a great little tower for cats. As soon as I built it, our kitty crawled in and started playing. She likes it very much. The only downside I have to say is that it releases a lot of lint. If she scratches/climbs/plays on it I have to vacuum the falling carpet which is fine but if there was no problem with the hat I would give it 5 stars. Otherwise this is a great buy to steal!

I wasn't sure what quality to expect from a relatively cheap scratching post. All parts are fairly light and lack a certain solidity. The kit comes with a wall cable that I haven't connected yet. My cat is very small so this may not be necessary. The best pet is that the cat started climbing and sharpening its claws before I even finished building it and since then it has been resting on the top platform.

2/21/19 - One of my cats jumped to the bottom level, the stand broke at the base and fell off. The base is broken in the corner. It is not durable and must be returned. It's a shame because the cats love it. 02/20/19 - Received this today after placing an order yesterday morning. I'm surprisingly happy with the size. I thought it would be smaller. Update: It would have been nice if the top hadn't chipped about 4 weeks after receipt. I put it back on and after a few weeks it fell off again. The plastic cap in the cardboard tube is broken. As my title suggests, cats love it while it's there, but it's very short-lived. I bought it on the best day and assembled it the night it arrived which I reckon means my cats have worn it more than twice but it hasn't even been three weeks. It went quickly and logically. They even provided an Allen key. It sits low and feels solid. The pressed board is strong, but the so-called carpet is actually very fine rabbit down. Fall apart in a week. But it clearly says this is to keep your furniture from claws and scratches so I'll let them sit for a while and if they fall apart I'll send them back for a refund. The basic cat tree arrived today and I assembled it straight away. My cat accepted it immediately. It fitted easily despite the instructions requiring a magnifying glass to read. These are simple instructions, difficult to read. All parts are clearly and carefully marked, including screws and fasteners, making the instructions easy to follow.
